While generally agreeing to the FFRR not being the corner speedy thing, I must officially call you guys to order for talking against AUDI drivers.
Not all of them are dick heads and not all of them have a choice - so please calm down.

I have to drive an Audi as a company car (Q7) so please bear with me for NOT racing (and abusing) the FFRR Rolling with laughter

I can tell you, that I would not be prepared to buy a car like this for the money they ask.... never.
Its not bad at all, but there is significant lack of "feeled quality" if you know what I mean.

but the entertainment system is far better in terms of software quality.
This vehicle shows you in th ecentre display between speedo and rev counter what you have to do for navigation,
who you call, have called, will call etc, who is calling, and all sorts of other informations.
Plus it has a dial for working in the menus - not for shifting gears.... Thumbs Up

Anyway, I still love the FFRR. The Harman Kardon HD system is so much better than the Bose in the Audi... Mr. Green

Rolling with laughter five fold - means five times as much ?????

I would expect power to be up maybe 15% - torque maybe 25%, but 500% - really ???? Whistle

Assuming this a remapped 3.6 TDV8, there is no way it's quicker or faster than an SQ5.

TDV8 Range Rovers are not quick cars by any stretch of the imagination - L322 4.4 TDV8 performance is roughly on a level with very mundane rep fodder like a 520d.

I'm inclined to agree with Trommel the VAG diesels are all good but the bi-turbo v6 used in the SQ is a seriously good engine that packs some punch ...I bet a remapped SQ would take a lot of beating Thumbs Up The forums premier drug dealer and human trafficking consultant

I took it to mean mid range power/torque, ie. the over all power is perhaps increased by a small percentage, but what power there is has moved with in the rev range. So you don't have to thrash the thing to make it go, nor do you have to change up too early.

Of course we've all left someone for dust, but you've no way of knowing if the person you left was really trying or if their car was in good health. Plenty of cars left the factory with XXX bhp, but after a few years of plodding around town only now have XX bhp, because everything is clogged up with soot from the EGR system.

Have to agree with the sentiment of Audi drivers, all the c*cks seem to have migrated from BMW to Audi ... Have to agree though because every Audi I see berhind me always seems to sit 2 inches off of my rear bumper. Sometimes I slow right down, other times I have to pull the old brake test out of them, because seriously there's no Censored need to sit so close to me, really does my nut in..

Had one dopey lass in a TT tailgate me the other day, slammed on the anchors and her arse must have fell out, she was over the other side of the road, hit the kerb, screaming, everything Laughing .. Must have taught her a lesson though, see her again about a week later, she had left a sizeable gap between herself and the car infront Thumbs Up learn the hard way I suppose.

Re midrange torque - have a look at the torque curve of a modern turbo-diesel, they're generally pretty much an artificially-pegged straight line from not far over idle. The notion that a remap takes you from 500 lb/ft at 2500rpm to 2500 lb/ft perhaps isn't too realistic ...

I would say don't lose your dignity by racing anyone whether your car is faster or slower. You are in a Range Rover so who cares. Rolling Eyes
