As above only started this morning, symptoms are same as weak signal, hissing in background and noisy, LW and MW are fine, checked for damp & poor connections under tailgate trim panel all o/k, nice & dry, gave everything a bit of a wiggle but not making any difference so suspect one of the aerial amplifiers, problem is as far as I can see there are three, one on left hand side of tailgate, & one in o/s & n/s rear wings, anyone have any idea which one does what and which one is the likely culprit, not keen on buying all three if it might be something else, help required |

Check the aerial connections including amplifier modules etc on all 3 boot windows. Modules high up in the boot side compartments too. A sure fire way of telling is to listen to the radio and turn the heated rear window on. If it makes a difference then it's definitely a connector gone high resistance. I spent almost a whole day fixing this on my old 07 Vogue SE. Most irritating. |

First do a battery reset, if that does not work listen to a CD for a week, just in case its either a transmitter fault in your area or a gremlin in your FF that may well fix itself after a week of CD listening sir |

Heated rear window on or off makes no difference, thinking it's probably one of amplifiers but which one |

Been there done that, not sure where the antenna cable goes after the amps, think the tuner is in rear quarter so next step might be there, just seems like the FM aerial is unplugged from somewhere as FM is only picking up strong signals and AM and TV are fine |
