What size hub nut

After some help please fella's,

I have a broken spring on the hand brake (off side) so need to get the hub off, what size is the nut and torque setting.
rear disc/drum was squealing, I have backed the shoes off and got the retain spring out.

I did read on another thread somewhere it was 38 mm? And set at 420lbs, that's flippin tight Big Cry is this correct? If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Why do you need to remove the hub nut? rear disc is held in place by an allen screw in the disc face. This will release the disc/drum and give access to the springs and handbrake cable assembly at the top of the hub. .

Must of had a brain fart Laughing . ... I blame me been on nightshift last night !

Disc off and temporary repair done till new shields bought as they are pretty rusty Big Cry

Need to release the hub nut, remove hub to renew brake backplate believe it or not!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Lot of work for a posy bit of tin!!! Rolling Eyes

Do you Craig, didn't look like it from what I was look at it earlier Big Cry

If that's the case it looks like the temporary repair may be long term fix Laughing If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

The backplate is a solid round unit that bolts/fixes in such a way you need to remove lots to fit WD!

This for removing/refitting backplates/splashguards without removing hub

Mrs WD is bring some of them springs home from work later that are used on there cars to see if they do the job.

My washer temp repair is good enough but the other spring on same side is well and truly foobared.

New disc shields are now 50 quid .....Each! Shocked
