Difficult to say if that L6 is real. I would suggest to also change the filter by the way.

I bought Lifeguard 6 from J Pat a couple of years ago, great price and next day delivery. Call and speak to the store man and order it direct

£15 a litre is still rather expensive, unless it is genuine LR oil |

I read on here that if you leave the oil draining from your gearbox for a long period of time, say a week, you can get a lot more out V the 7 litres that pan and filter change would get out, don't know if its true or not |

I would say that's not true. The torque converter will.never drain, nor will the valve block, cooler/pipework etc.

A friend of mine managed to get another 1.5 litres out of a Mercedes E-Class 211 by leaving the car on his garage lift for four days. It was purely by accident. Late at night, he replaced the sump cover and when he returned to finish the job, there was more fluid that had collected overnight, so he left it to drip until there was no more fluid collecting in the pan. |

You don't have to take the filter of, just drain via the plug. Taking the filter of would not be an issue I think as it is an "O"- ring type cord if I remember correctly.
