Door card off, that's four screws, another four screws to remove the switches, then six million metal clips hold it on, easy them off and it comes off (alright there aren't six million but you wonder why they used so many for a small piece of plastic...)

Oh, I've found that using satin black and then a clear coat of matte lacquer over the top gives a nicer finish than matte black paint on it's own, seems to be half way between matte and satin...

A bit of a pain getting in all the nooks and crannies round the switches as well.... at least the others only have one switch... Those rubberised finishes are used on various cars and some electronics. They feel great when they're new, but i've never seen one that lasted well, they all go sticky then peal off. |
