Range Rover installed the chain tensioner update kit last year in my 2011 SC as there was
a rattling noise and they said this would correct it. It didn't. It still sounds like a diesel and rattles when idling. Many people including mechanics and other RR owner's keep asking "what is wrong" so next Tuesday it goes back to the dealer to see if they can find the problem. Very annoying but I hope solvable. Will let everyone know how it comes out.

Car went to shop and this time the service manager and mechanic both heard the clattering. When the chain tensioned update kit was installed, upon reassembly, all the pulley wheels are "weighted" and have to be perfectly
aligned or it will clatter, which was the case. It is much quieter now but hey are still going to check the supercharger and install a leaky valve cover gasket.

5.0's have a problem with the front end rattling, glad yours is sorted..  ... - .- -.

You mean 'replace' a leaky valve cover gasket i hope?!

Although i suppose there are some garages who would install and old leaky one for you to get more work next time.

Yup, I had this fix done to mine while it was under warranty, don't ask to see the car mid way through the job, it will give you a heart attack! Discovery 4 HSE

Yes, replace valve cover gasket. Thank God its still under warranty. They said supercharger comes a part to install. I'm now considering buying the "extended Warranty". $4,200 for 4 years or 48k miles.
