Anyone know what this plug is?

Just serviced my BMW 4.4, and noticed this spare plug cable tied up.

Does anyone know if it's supposed to be connected to something? Or is it just one that isn't used on my particular model?

It's cable tied up to the front end of the Right hand Injector/coil cable box, just behind the oil filler. It looks like it's cable tied to a rubber outlet on the cable box.
