If it helps I took mine of cleaned it with switch cleaner and replaced, sticking a small rubber foot from a computer under the bonnet where it touches. Obviously pushes the plunger home a bit further - no trouble since (alarm kept going off). Geoff |

I got that picture from the RAVE system and mine does NOT have the white cap, it is like yours.

As we'd only had the car less than a week decided to give the dealer a ring for them to have a look. Turned out to be a very slight mis alignment with the bonnet which meant the switch was not being fully depressed when closed?
