Painted body panels.

After the wifes argument with a bollard im looking for a new wing to bolt on. Does anyone know of a place where I can buy a painted wing that I can just fit straight on without having to get it painted?
Thanks in advance.

i bought a rangie door from a dismantler on ebay. there are a few, I think the one I used is called ia-dora. I asked them to verify the paint for scratches and dings first, in sunlight etc. they did and it came mega bubble wrapped via a courier. So much bubblewrap that I had to unpack it in the garden. all perfect as described. the door was about £140 delivered. that would have easily been my paint cost, had a bought the different colour door etc.

fear not the delivery. the wing should be a doddle. confirm the paintcode etc.

i would suggest, you ask companies selling secondhand body panels, if they have a santorini black car 'awaiting it's plunder'. as searching, might not immediately find your preferred colour.
its worth waiting, to know you have the right thing you want etc.
-gone are the days of, 'yeah come over, I'm sure we can sort you out' etc.
there's another ebay company i've used called 'furness car co' -again, selling car parts the modern way.

ia_dora and Furness Car Company are one and the same - I picked up a wing from them a couple of years ago - very painless transaction - I still then managed to get half my money back selling the old wing complete with large scratch back on eBay - thats your best port of call.

Worth giving Furness a ring - they seem to have several RR's waiting to be dismantled so if they don't have it listed doesn't mean they don't have one. Current Fleet:-

2021 Ford Ranger Wildtrack
2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt 5.0 V8

I'd check in with Craig, I am very pleased with a 'weathered' panel, fresh non factory paint will stand out in any colour Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

There are places who will sell panels, either new or used freshly painted to your choice of colour, but you'll be very lucky if it looks a good match when on the car.
When body shops repair a panel they'll normally blend in part of the adjacent panels to disguise any slight colour variation. Some of that will be from the paint on the car ageing/fading slightly, but also down to slight variations in paint batches/suppliers.

The only sensible way of doing it is to buy a second hand panel in the same colour as yours, but in my experience, if you have a red car for example, all the time you're looking for a red wing you see every colour but red!

If you get a replacement wing in the wrong colour, you can spray paint the non-critical parts, like the back edge which is normally in the door shut and the bits that are covered by the bonnet and lights your self with an aerosol, fit the wing and arrange with a local body shop to paint the visible bits for you. Here's the critical bit though, taking all the bits of trim off, bumper, lights, vents wheel arch liners etc is the bit that takes up the most time. So if you can arrange with a local body shop to paint it if you present it to them in a state that they only need do a bit of rubbing down, masking and then paint it, you'll save a packet on the job.

Thanks folks.
I ended up going to a local body shop they
repaired and painted the wing and sorted
a couple of scuffs out at the same time.
Charged me £200 all in.
Very happy with that.
Thanks again.
