DO NOT ATEMPT TO DO THIS IF YOU ARE UNSURE

all settings, passwords, apps etc will be removed

Do a back up of your internal SD card memory. It will be wiped during the process.
Back up your GPS card .

Get the files
Download files from here http://huifei.fs-fileserver.de/content/firmware/coudu's_roms/4.4.4/800x480/
I am running 27-Jan-2015 11:26 353M KLD version
Other versions here http://huifei.fs-fileserver.de/content/firmware/ don’t use any of the Klyde files as they are not for the units we have
And useful files here
http://huifei.fs-fileserver.de/content/

There are 2 kinds of files
- update.img is the android firmware
- mcu.img is the mcu update (don’t use )

Extract the file to a usb stick

Copy the update.img from the usb to the root of your GPS card.
MAKE sure to remove the usb and the other SD card before you restart

Insert back the GPScard to the unit. If no window pops up, reboot the unit. At boot, the presence of update.img will be detected and a pop up window will ask you whether you want to update your unit.

It will automatically reboot into recovery mode and update your unit. Once done, remove update.img root of the gps card or you will be asked every boot for an update.

If anything goes wrong you can revert back during the upgrade

1 Press reset button and power button together
2 After about 5 secs release reset button, but keep pressing power button
3 When booting screen appears release power button.
4 It boots into recovery.

From here you can factory reset , recover or upgrade

When its all back up you can side load the IGO from the GPS card by selecting the igo APK file but have all other SD cards removed and the USB

Hi hex, I may be sounding like an utter bumpy here, by backing the internal sd card, what do you mean?

I've been working for the last 21 days on 12-14hrs a day and my heads a little frazzled!

When you use the file explorer on the head unit you should see the GPS card and an external SD card if you have one .also you will see one just called SD card this is the internal card that you need to back up
