I have noticed a strange "fizz" sound coming from my hevac system every other 20 - 30 seconds or so. It sound like that for 2-3 sec and then its quiet again. I belive it has something to do with the AC. Sounding almost like a relif valve releasing pressure.
I also noticed today that my ac aux fan wasnt spinning so it made me belive it has something to do with it.

Anyone bin having the same problem or got any tips on how to get the fan working again?

Sound maybe the bearing on the compressor, you only hear it when the clutch cuts in and out about the right timings you mention... Mines been noisy for over 15,000 miles, keep meaning to sort it......

The fan only comes on when needed, and it needs to get very hot before it comes on..... Pete

Is there a fix for the bearing or do you need to change to a new compressor? L322 Vogue 2003

Pretty sure I read somewhere you can change the front bearing without removing the pump, although I haven't had a look at mine yet, if the pump still works then someone somewhere will be able to change the bearing...

You can confirm the pump noise by taking the drive belt off... is a bit of a job if you've not done it before though, the viscous fan is a bit of a pain... Pete

Searched everywhere and it doesn't appear that the bearing / clutch Is available separately.
Maybe contact denso directly, or buy replacement compressor?

Yes thanks Greg, new hip is great, on list for other one now, main problem is knee, now totally gone, won't lock straight, can't bend it past 30degrees... so it totally prevents me from getting my teeth stuck into the bigger Jobs on the FF... so just playing at the moment... got lots of big lumps of steel in the garage awaiting playing!!!! They can't do the knee until after the hip so a few more months to wait... Pete
