England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

The alpine unit looks like my Pure 300di works well and better reception than in the wife's OE in her touareg

I was thinking about swapping it into the SC as a short term measure but I've seen something on the bay of fleas which claims to give freeview and has option for DAB & a further option for hidden aerials 07MY SC VSE (on its way)

The list of previous cars is long & some are boring there has been two RRC's and a very pimped hilux

That's DVB, which is digital TV, not DAB.

DVB can receive radio, but it's not DAB. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Was given a new Discovery Sport as a loaner, very nice but does not feel like a Discovery. Really like the DAB, one station across 120 miles of travel today, excellent. Is there any solution to being able to get DAB on an 08 FFRR. Porsche 993 Targa, Buick Skylark Convertable 1968

The last Jaguar X-Types came with DAB as standard. They use the same MOST optic network and the touch screens which are an even older denso design to the FFRR (similar software) support it.

They connect to the MOST system via some sort of gateway module, using a standard JLR DAB module which is apparently used in various LR and Jaguar models. I wonder if this 'gateway module' would allow the FFRR's system to have DAB? I suppose it will all boil down to whether or not the Range Rover's software will 'see' the module.

I'll add it to the list of things to do. Might be a while though. Laughing

Been using the Discovery Sport SE all weekend and a very nice capable car with a surprising amount of room inside. Just have to have the DAB on mine. Had and 07 X5 for 2 seconds (6 months) but it just did not work, this one is great. Porsche 993 Targa, Buick Skylark Convertable 1968

I'd be very surprised if the DAB unit would be "recognised" by the JLR system. I retrofitted a DAB tuner to my E60 5 series, which was an official option and it took several attempts by the garage to get it coded in.

Sadly, this isn't like a Windows plug'n'play type situation, so I would suggest you don't get your hopes up Big Cry Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

No i have my doubts too, the X-type uses a slightly earlier version of the JLR system (the X-type was running MOST in 2001, it was the first JLR product to do so) they didn't change the main hardware for the 2008MY. There might have been a software update, which could be the stumbling block on the Range Rover. On the Jaguar Xtype, X150 (XK) and S type the main stumbling block is installing an aerial, but it might be worth a try. If i can find the parts cheaply enough.

The other option to enable you to get the stations, certainly ones you like consistently across the UK are these after market ones that you tune in through your FM. Any decent discreet ones that anyone has tried and could recommend. You could mount out of sight tuned to the station you like and leave it. Porsche 993 Targa, Buick Skylark Convertable 1968

^ that's well documented on here - http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic17064.html?highlight=dab. Mine (and a few others) like the Alpine EZ-DAB, which can connect via the AUX input and also can control iDevices. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
