You should be able to read the Tuner part numbers from the front of the tuner box. If it's a digital box it may also have an additional connector port (it's a green port on my upgraded digital tuner), but not sure what connects into it. The only other way to tell is by checking the size of the box itself. The old analogue tuner box is a fair bit bigger than the digital boxes.

Well what can I say.......purchased my hybrid box from cam tech craig (many thanks) and everything works perfectly just with simply changing the tuner. Really surprised at how good the picture / reception is even when on the move. Now I say simply changing the tuner unit, it is simply changing it but don't think its a five min job. I had to resort to craig for guidance as wasn't sure if the base speaker in the rear had to come out but craig assured me it didn't and guess what he was right Basically everything in the rear "electrical cubby hole" has to come out and omg so many plugs !! But when you press the button for tv and the snow screen has gone and multiple digital channels appear... thanks again cam tech |

I left the old analogue tuner in place and fixed the digital one to it with some 3M body tape, been there for a year and no problems (not with the TV at least) and I can easily remove when I come to px the FF in due course. Took about 5 -10 mins top to install There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
