Td6 vogue sat nav not working

Hi people I've got 2003 td6 vogue with the per touch sat nav and before I brought it someone had to the battery changed and now the sat nav screen comes on but yet nothing else. I can't access the radio the tv comes on and searches but finds nothing and the word 'code' is blacked out and I can't access it? And secondly the sat nav drive has eject red light but no power light??.
Any ideas??

Hi William,
If you have an 03, you def do not have a touch-screen nav unless it is one of the Chinese aftermarket units.
If yours is original (foundry grey face - not black): you are pressing the volume (left) knob to try to turn the radio on? If you are seeing 'Code', are you able to enter anything (turn the right hand knob to change characters). If you can, enter 0000.
Can you eject a CD/DVD when you press eh eject button on the Satnav computer?

If none of this works, take a pic and post.

Yep that's the one your talking about is my one the grey one. Yep I've tried what you said and it still does not work won't let me out a code in. So I'm kinda stuck. I think the sat nav drive is faulty because that also doesn't do anything thanks for your reply

Two things, are all the boxes in place in the boot and plugged in and secondly have you looked at the condition of any of the connectors on the plugs and sockets. I'm afraid water damage to the various units and connectors is a serious problem in these cars.
Have you seen any of the units working?

Nope no water in chubby all dry. Not saying there hasn't been at some point but nothing from where I can see.

All connections are in place I haven't seen them working so I know it could be anything. But I was just trying to eliminate one at a time if I could. Any advice on how to check them??

The first thing I would do is undo the largest of the three plugs on the top of the DSP unit, the box nearest the back of the car, and look for signs of corrosion in the plug and the pins in the socket.
If you find any also remove the other two plugs and similarly look for corrosion.

Right here's a pic of what my radio screen looks like. I have checked for water and the moisture on the plugs no sign of anything. No water stains either. Sorry had 2 weeks away
