Reading through the posts on this excellent forum it would appear that a few of you do use your pride & joy for transporting dogs now & again.

I don't pick up my FF until Sunday but I'm wondering how the hell I'm going to get my mastiffs in the back (maybe I should have thought of this before)

They can just about scramble up on to the back seat of my Hilux but even with the suspension lowered I think they are going to struggle to get up to the tailgate of a FF.

I have 2 rottweilers and they jump in fine even at normal height, they love the boot of the Rangie even if I leave it open while unloading something they jump in "let's go" and they are both 12 stone each so yours should be fine.

I have one of those folding ramps and my dog is running up it before I have got it unfolded it and hooked it onto the tailgate lol, good bits of kit though and as I have a cage in the back for the dog it just folds up and sits next to the cage in transit. My dog can jump in and out but as he is a medium sized dog and weighs 30kgs I just don't want him to hurt himself or damage the car.

I have a few customers that use ramps

I have a jack russell and a foxy.

Jacks in the front,foxy loves the back.

Will be keeping the car for a loooong time too.

Are the dogs old or just unable to jump?

Of our four labs the grandmother is the only one who doesn't jump up (unless she thinks there's food there) but then again she's approaching 14 now. Her son and daughter are occasionally wary if there is someone else in there first. But then again the son comes in underweight at ~45kg for a lab (he's a big boy).

My little monster (the granddaughter) is quite happy launching herself in at any height (and missing if I'm honest) but she's not quite 18 months, is on the smaller side but and not overweight but packs in the muscle to the tune of 30kg. Owners of larger dogs (thinking bigger labs, alsations, bull-dogs etc) seem surprised when I'll quite happily let them let their dog play rough with her. They look even more surprised when she takes them out. She'll usually end up muddier but the victor  Ed
