ahh we were talking about 25 mpg on a run mine gets 17-18mpg around town id imagine the 5.0 is a little better than that.

Just shows you theres not much init between the diesel and petrol ! Range Rover Vogue 2006 4.4 AJV8 | Buckingham Blue | Parchment Leather | Supercharged Grill+Side Vents | CA02 HEY ( NOT 02 PLATE )

Fact - if I drive a 5.0 SC the same as a 4.4 TDV8 there is 8 to 10 mpg difference - the difference between petrol and diesel RR's has always been around this / ever since the launch of the 2.4 VM in 1986/7 - the overall mpg has improved significantly - but the difference is near as dammit the same 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

I think you live in the real world with me. Thumbs Up
I had a 3.9 disco and couldn't get it over 15-18 however i drove.
I think a lot of MPG is down to you're daily drive and whether you have to climb hills or not.

Motorway driving is a completely different scenario. You will alway get a better MPG at cruising speed. 2020 Porsche Panamera Turbo Hybrid (V FAST)

I find I get my best mpg on 40/50mph sections where there are no real overtaking opportunities or benefits, my revs are around 1400. My daily commute is around 28 miles each way with a big hill to climb on the way, the OBC reads around 20/21 on the way to work and 23/24 on the way home.

As long as my overall average stays north of 20mpg I'm happy... Lots of short local journeys Exclamation My old 4.2 used to live around 12-14mpg Shocked

My outgoing 3.6 managed +30mpg over a 2500 mile summer holiday last year... Hoping my new 4.4 will be as good if not better on this years holiday Whistle

35 to the gallon out of a 4.4TDV8 on the run from Calais to Geneva, mostly on adaptive cruise at 80ish mph.
See late 20's (27/2Cool on usual use, I don't live in London but a suburban town.

We all know the computer flatters the numbers but I'm very happy with that versus the Cayenne 3.2 petrol is used to have which averaged 18 ish and never exceeded 25mpg on a run. 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ
