Auto-Lights Delayed Activation

As you may recall, my windscreen was replaced a few days ago.

The auto wipers didn't work and I then discovered the auto lights were playing up.

The chap has been back to sort things, but I don't think things are back to normal.

In this case, my auto lights come on as normal in the dark when I switch the ignition on. Then they go off after about 10 seconds and they need another 30 seconds or so to come back on. This is useless when driving away in the dark.

So, my question is:

1. Would disconnecting the battery for a bit help?
2. The sensor for the lights and wiper is the same? All connections have been checked, so what else could it be?

I'm going to get back to the windscreen company tomorrow. Si. <This is my name.

Yes the sensor for both is the same and situated below your rear view mirror... Check if the sensor is properly squashed against the glass (without bubbles)

Thanks Craig. Thumbs Up

Discovered the auto wipers still aren't working and that, coupled with excessive wind noise even after they out in new side strip fittings, has meant I've asked for a complete new windscreen to be fitted.

To give the windscreen place their due, they've offered to replace the sensor bits as well.

I'll know more once they give me a fitting date. Si. <This is my name.
