Power Connections L322

I've seen lots of posts asking where to find Battery, Accessory and Ignition Power sources, so I thought I'd share my discoveries. This is mostly for a 2003-2006 L322 Diesel, please add any variations found for other models.

**Engine Compartment**

Battery Power - At the jump start terminal in front of the battery compartment
AND at the input terminal on the 100A Fusable Link inside the Environment Box

Accessory Power - None available

Ignition Power - TD6 - at Wire Junction X 2050 inside the Environment Box
V8 - at Fuse 2 inside the Environment Box

Ground - At the jump start terminal in front of the battery compartment
AND at the ground point in the same location on the opposite suspension mount

**Interior Front**

Battery Power - Fuse 53 is often used,
100A Link 5 (to Rear Fuse Box) is probably better

Accessory Power - Fuse 8 or 49 (Radio/Cassette) for light loads,
Yellow connector (C0773 or C0774) under the seats has a 30A feed.
[There is a sliding clip on the opposite end to where the cables come in, use a flat screw driver to drag it out ~12mm]
[Note. RAVE says these are switched with Ignition, but they are powered from key fob unlock to idle down ~5 minutes after switch off]

Ignition Power - Fuse 2 (to rear fuse box) or Fuse 4 (lighting ECU)

Ground - Lots of places,
On seat connectors C0773 & C0774 in conjunction with Accessory is best

**Interior Rear**

Battery Power - Battery Cable at fuse box input (red)
Fuse 1 (cigar lighter)

Accessory Power - None available in fuse box, but plenty in electronics box on left side.

Ignition Power - Cable at fuse box input (green/yellow)
Fuse 5 (empty)

Ground - Lots of places,
Rear bumper mounting bolts are good with ~15mm extra thread available, just add a ring terminal and a threadlocker nut (after cleaning paint off)

So far I've used the E Box Ignition circuit for my daytime running lights, the under seat connections to a power distribution board at the rear of the glove box [to run a CB Radio, crash camera, GPS and a charging station (for phones)] and the power in to the rear fuse box to a second battery (behind a voltage controlled switch - this runs my fridges, 1 in the car, 1 in the caravan)

Another good place if your running a windscreen mounted "in car recording device" to gain an ignition fed power supply from are the sun visor vanity mirror lights...

Nice & close to the top of the windscreen too

I'm killing myself trying to find ACC power in the rear. Can you please guide me to a 20A source in the rear left side - the Nav/Stereo compartment?

L322 2002-2005 Radio System -

Standard Edition SE (Base Model) had Radio and Amp in the dashboard.

All others had separate Radio and Amplifier modules in the left, rear cubby.
The Radio has a 'Quad Lock' multi role socket that contains a Power section, an audio out section and an ancilliary section.

You are interested in the power-in section where 12 Brown = Ground, 15 Red/Green = Battery +12V and 16 Purple/White = Accessory On.
Note that Accessory On is quite low power and should only be used to operate a relay to switch the much bigger Battery +12V to other devices.
(These 3 colour combinations are only used for power throughout the vehicle, look for them on other plugs)

ISO colours for radios are Ground = Black, Battery +12V = Yellow, Accessory On = Red. 2003 TD6, EGR delete, vortex crankcase breather update, performance chip, UHF 2 way, Android head unit, crash camera on dash, always-on rear view camera to mirror screen, LED DRL`s, Electric trailer brake controller. FSR replaced. Pulling 3T caravan all about Australia
