Hi all, my little one dropped my wifes Macbook Pro 17 inch and the screen is now cracked. New screen via Apple shop is very expensive and I'm looking for a place to buy a new screen and installing it myself (well at least attempting it) does anyone know a decent supplier ? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

They even provide how to videos. Should've been old enough to know better...doh!

KL is a bit of an issue, we are in Johor so not easy to get to KL. However, you never know I may be there soon for a different reason

When I needed help with my iPhone, a quick Craigslist check turned up many screen replacement services. Almost all the cost seemed to be the parts. The labour seemed very reasonable. If you're going to be in KL or London, take the MacBook along and, with a bit of searching, I'll bet you'll be able to get it sorted-hopefully with a minimum of fuss. Good luck.

You could get the same service at the Simlim tower in Singapore. There are a lot of repair shops at floor level 4.
