Nothing specific for flea markets in the north but if you Google "marchés aux puces" you will get a fair number of hits. The sites can be understood without French as they are mainly dates and places. You can also use Google translate which, although not to be relied on for important documents, is fine for every day understanding.

Quinqonce brocante is the 24th of april to first week of may. First week is the best. Heart of Bordeaux, lots of little bars, restaurants etc. Good atmosphere and not many foreigners. You could do Bordeaux by TGV Paris Bordeaux is only 3 hours. |

Or head towards Reims or Troyes for the Champagne region? quite a few of the Champagne houses do tastings.
