Insurance for Test Drives

How do you ensure that the Insurance cover from a potential buyer is fully comprehensive for the vehicle that you are selling.

My understanding is that most 'fully comp' polices only cover you third party in somebody else's vehicle.

Anybody work in Insurance and knows the facts

Thanks

Good Afternoon,

You are right, most Comprehensive polices do have the 'Third Party' extension.

The only way to get comprehensive cover would be to add the test driver to the sellers policy, which not all insurers will do, and probably will charge.

Hope that helps.
