I hate to state the obvious sir but, what are your heater controls set to? If they are not up high, the cabin won't warm that much...

The manual does not refer to the need for temp settings, on the contrary to my mind it infers that the ambient temp dictates whether the fhb activates or whether cool air is circulated. I'll give its go tho. Thanks Craig.

It may have a receiver and the previous owner may have lost the remote.
On my 2008 car the receiver was in the back rear right compartment. Someone will tell you what id written on it but i think it says siemens. I'm not sure on a 2010 model and it to dark for me to check mine now.

mine does not get toasty
de-frosts ok and lifts the temp ,but deffentley not toasty

ran it with the blower fuse removed for 10 mins then put the fuse back in, only then did it get toasty

so i think blower fans run to fast to heat the water up enough on a 30 min cycle

wonder if fan speeds differ on later models

Mine isn't toasty either. It's not cold and the windows defrost. When I get in and switch in the heater, it blows warm(ish) air. Coming off a night shift, it's better than getting into a freezing car!

Can I fit a T90 receiver to my 2002 model? It's a different plug to a T60 so I'd need to fit a new plug to the loom but where to get one from? Is there any additional wiring to a T90?

dont know if this reply is to late but i would not bother with the remote

put a GSM dialer on it and you can phone it frrom anaywhere in the world to switch it on, your not limited to 500m away

drops the call so no call cost involved

£60-70 depends on what make you buy and PAG sim card with £5 credit and jobs a good one

the one i use is Advent Controls Alpha GSM Relay Board

also use this on my electric gates

just make sure the GSM dialer has a timed relay (so you can set the heater run time)

The Advent Controls Alpha GSM Relay Board has been primarily designed for security applications
although can be used as a general purpose call/SMS activated relay. The board also
features an optically-isolated DC input which can be used to trigger dialling and/or sending of
a customisable Short Message Service (SMS) alert message to up to 512 numbers.

The relay can be activated by a call or SMS text from up to 512 stored telephone numbers or
can be configured to activate when receiving a call from any number. By default the call will
not be answered and hence costs the caller nothing. However, the system can also be set to
reject the call or connect a call when either the input is open or closed (or both). This allows
the input status to be determined even when the SIM card does not have credit for SMS text
messages.

Setup and operation is performed by simple SMS text messages including adding and removing
user telephone numbers. A complete list of accepted telephone numbers can be viewed
via SMS text message. The memory can also be scanned to see if it contains an individual
number and the result is displayed by the on-board LED and (if enabled—see 2.10 TEXTRES) by
SMS text message.

The output relay has both Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) with Common
(COM) connections. The action of the relay can be a single timed actuation from either 1s to
999s or 1 to 999 minutes or the relay can be set to toggle between calls.

I'm also in the 'FBH not working' club

I don't have an IID tool and having read the many posts on here about the FBH, I sent the PCB off to French Mike. He found a fault fixed it and having reinstalled it..... it made no difference The system is completely unresponsive other than the flashing light by the screen.

Does anyone around the South West / Bristol area have the appropriate kit and know-how to tell me what faults it is generating....?

Ouch!!!

Did you do the reset procedure ( ie 3 fails to start and reset system ) ?

I have tried pulling fuse 59, but it makes no difference The light by screen still flashes but there is no activity at all.

I know there are various tests you can do on each of the FBH systems but of course the battery needs to be out of the way, so I've concluded my best next step is to get the codes read.
