I have a 7" Galaxay Tab2 ST210 is the model. being advertised for about £70 now I beleive. Best bet would be pay a bit more for the 10" which I bought for my mother last year, just under £200. If you install team viewer on it you can remotely connect and help them out with problems. Does what it says on the lid as you asked. personally the Apple stuff is top dog but I dont see the point unless you have cash falling through your hands. |

I got myself a Samsung galaxy tab4 , 8" screen, so far that's been great for what I want it to do. For under £140 it a bargain.

I managed to get a refurbed iPad 4th gen, with wifi, bluetooth and GSM (vodafone) for £215 off the fleabay. Does everything I need, can't really go wrong if you shop around. |

Just remember if you do get the ipad4 it will be the new charger needed. But you will be ok for some future IOS updates. The iPhone 4s still is just about up with new updates, and maybe the music speaker box he uses? I've never used android, and haven't a clue on their update vulnerability, but the ipad3 I use is still top banana. (iPad retina) the screen is so sharp and touch responsive...... |

If it's only low power apps he wants then an old iPad 1 will do. Obviously no camera, but it should work for most things and they can be had for about £120.

Galaxy Tab 10 is what I would recommend. They are the best bang for buck in that sector of the market. The others below are generally really polished turds with bits that haven't made QC for the big names and cobbled together really cheaply to keep the price low.

You could potentially nab a bargain iPad or iPad mini as phones4u stock is being sold off at auction.
