The leather is far superior on VSE and AB derivatives as it is semi-aniline. The piping on the Vogue on the L322 is very old fashioned IMO.

The leather is certainly not "superior" in any way when its "semi aniline" In fact my/our findings are the semi aniline leather is massively INFERIOR to the Non semi aniline equipped cars... Lighter colours are worse!!!

Interesting. In what ways is the Oxford leather superior? Perhaps more hard wearing over years of use but definitely not as luxurious or premium. A 2011 car should not be showing significant wear on either leather type.

the stitched seats are lovely, I have been in a few AB and VSE cars and the seats look great. I can however see where craig is coming from, the leather seems much softer which i suppose over the years wear faster than the Oxford leather cars. Mine is a Vogue and is on 72000 at the moment, i have had to touch up the colour on the right hand bolster a couple of times in small patches when're it had started to lose its colour, though the actual leather is pretty much perfect. I can imagine that on the semi-analine leather cars this area could wear faster..... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

IMO the Ivory leather coloured SE & AB cars "SA" leather is NOT fit for purpose...

I have a pal with a 4 month old 405 with sirus leather, again "SA" which looks 3yrs+ old already! Rubbish!!!

I guess it ultimately depends on what you want. For me the contrast stitch is much nicer than the piping. The leather is also softer and on my L322 on almost 4 years of use and just under 60k miles, the leather is perfect.

Semi-Aniline as a leather category will generally be softer as it has gone through much more minimal processing in comparison to the Oxford leather which, in my opinion, has a glazed, vinyl-like feel to it.

On the L405, Vogue derivatives have Oxford leather intermixed with non-leather on the harder wearing surfaces. Not sure if this is the same on the L322

Yes ... I hadn't really thought about mudflaps ... I got them to take off the steps which I didn't like and they had some front flaps included ... I suppose they replaced what was there with these! I also got different wheels ... it also originally had some awful blingy laser cut 22" efforts which were truly dreadful to behold - I would have had to have gone out and bought a chest-wig and gold medallion to go with them! ... these were robbed from another car on stock! I quite like them.
