Push the button on the homelink in the RR and a guy comes out my garage opens the gates for me ...cool ...didn't think about that  57 - Silver TDV8 VSE loaded
12 - Grey VW California Berghaus

TBH I would love to use HomeLink for the gate and the garage doors, but for some reason I've never been able to program them.. Tried multiple times following the directions in the manual but sadly no success. I'm guessing that it must be a compatibility issue or a duff homelink

So if anyone has any recomendations for me to try I'd very grateful...

Have you actually reset the homelink tho , had it on my old one but never used it , i was told you have to reset it if you are the 2nd or 3rd owner ====================================
