U.S. front and tail lights

Hey everyone,

First of all, I have checked the forum for info but haven't found anything. I am not a big fan of modifying the exterior of my car and I want to keep it as stock and subtle as possible. In order to update the looks of the Rangie without fitting the 2006-07 exterior, I decided to swap the front headlights, since they have incorporated side reflectors (like the more modern ones).

A friend of mine works on my car and helps me with technical and mechanical issues, but this time he has no clue how to make the reflectors work.

You guys have any ideas? Also where I could get the tail lights, have been checking e bay but haven't found anything.

Attached a picture of my front lights and a picture of the tail lights I would like to buy (both U.S. spec), also two pictures of a Range that was for sale in the US with the mentioned lights.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Its us cars that have the side running lights, don't think they were available or required any where else. They would need to be us spec and be wired into an ignition source.

I will be corrected if I'm wrong.

Steve

Thanks to both of you for the replies.

When my friend tried to connect the reflectors, apparently he got an error and now they do not work. Sadly, I have no idea whatsoever about technical or mechanical modifications, that is why I would thank you a lot if you could be maybe a bit more specific, so I can tell my friend how to do it properly.

It is strange that the US version had these lights and the EU version not, since both 2006 and 2010 models have them incorporated.

I would imagine that as long as the wiring is there it could be as simple as turning them on in the ccf. I can also easily believe LR might have specced a different loom for the US market. Worth a look at the ccf if you have diagnostic equipment.

Thanks for the info mzplcg, actually a diagnostic equipment is something I would need to buy. This is how the inside looks, do not know if it is similar to those that do not have the reflectors.
