Anyone use there ctek charger using the 12v acc/ cigarette lighter socket ....and does it work ok, rather than the croc clips onto battery?

Connect direct to the battery using the comfort charge method if no tow option

A what ?

Google .........ah I see what you mean now this would be handy if you could bring it through the bulkhead and into the glovebox ......anyone done this or have any advice ?

Thanks again

Sorry Nomad was editing my post to add piccie when you replied ,

so is it just put it on normal and it will do a full charge then automatically go into pulse charge if / when required ?

Thought I read it was either supply or recon somewheres ( but that was a week ago and my memory is pants haha)

looking at the manual Normal, AGM, Recond all seem to go to pulse as stage 8. Seems to hold step 7, float upto 10 days then goes to pulse if i understand what they are saying correctly.....

so use normal setting as far as i can tell Thumbs Up

All depends on how often you do not use your FF , glad to report I've just been away for a month and had it on pulse mode whilst away and returned to a fully charged battery and started straight away ( should have bought one years ago )

Which one did you get ? The 5.0 or 7.0 ?? Plugged in the 12v socket in the luggage compartment ? Thumbs Up

I don't use a Martin one as I didn't spot them until I had bought all the bits and made one myself - if wish I had seen Martins sooner as it would have saved me time and trouble Very Happy

If you don't have a towbar then on my last RR only the socket in the boot stayed live but the C-Tek comes with connectors you can leave on the battery terminating in a quick release plug

I just used to connect it on cold nights so I could run the FBH in the morning on my old diesel RR, my new petrol doesn't have a FBH Big Cry

It's all automatic so when to battery is fully charged it goes into a trickle/conditioning mode.
