I never have the recirc on as otherwise the FF ends up smelling sweaty inside (plus daren't have it on when SWMBOs had a curry!).

Not nice for the passengers Whistle

I leave the recirculate on auto, it will then draw fresh unless it detects its contaminated air ie fumes There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I leave mine on but I thought it's climate control not aircon
One of the lorries I used to drive the default switch is on thou you could turn it off
You'd use the re circulation in long tunnels to keep the fumes out

Learnt something new today. I never knew any of that about the air con. I thought that having it on all the time would just be one more thing to break or go wrong on the car. Travelling around in circles again.

Always leave the A/C on and use AUTO setting. Just adjust the temp with the temp dials. This is how the car likes it and keeps the electric dry due to it dehumidifying effects. Its AIR CONDITIONING not Air Cooling. Thumbs Up

Although I leave it on all the time by habit once you get into frosty weather it's effect is minimal.
The outside air coming into the car is cool enough anyway and it's moisture content is very low which combined with heating means it dehumidifies the cabin air without the need for additional cooling / dehumidification provided by the cars ac system.

Always left on whenever I drive an FF.

The thing is it may not dry the air out a lot more but it all helps when it's this time of year as the interior is quite big and ac certainly helps. Well until the point it won't engage as its too cold Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I agree with this - if ever it looks like a queue of traffic through the Clyde Tunnel in Glasgow then I switch the recirc. on whilst still out in the open and it keeps everything fresh. There is also a section on the M74 on the outskirts of Glasgow where it can be very whiffy past the landfill site if you done switch the recirc on Sad 2006 FFRR TDV8 Vogue

So i have got my FF5.0, will join the 5.0Sc club and upload pictures on the weekend. For now though as winter has set in, i like to car to be warm. With this thread of leaving the AC on, can someone tell me what settings they have on for the temp on the dials.
I drove it yesterday and unless it was on, pretty much 26 and above the car felt cold and the speed of the fan had to be quite high. 2011 5.0SC Santorini Black
