I put a set of these on mine, not as shiny in yer face as the abs chrome, and made of solid Stainless steel, so you polish out scratches and there's no paint to ware off

Make sure that all the loose paint is off the old handles, I gave mine a good scraping with a blade. Then I degreased the handle with some brake cleaner, put a thin line of PU Flex Sealer Adhesive in between the sticky strips and carefully pressed them in to place.
