2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Well my weekend went pear-shaped during a night drive on Saturady evening when coming out of a very rough and muddy special stage the 90 felt "strange" to drive and it appeared that I had got a flat on the nearside rear wheel............... then somebody behind me piped up that just behind my car there was a nice ZU wheel sitting in the mud....................................... all the wheel nuts on the one wheel had come undone and the wheel had dropped off when I stopped. Thank goodness LR put 5 nuts on Defender wheels as we were able to use a Hilift jack to get the car high enough to put the wheel back on and use 4 nuts from the other wheels and the spare to keep it in place as in the dark we couldn't see the nuts that had dropped off. I only had the wheels fitted 3 weeks ago and on checking the other 3 wheels the nuts were all properly torqued up I recall now having being distracted by a phone call while checking them. Thank goodness it happened on soft ground and not at 60 on the road and that apart from some deep scores on the inside of the Zu there appears to be no other damage, but I'm still taking the car to my local non franchise garage to get it jacked up again and the whell off to get an "expert" to check out if there is any damage to the disc brake/ stone guard or parts. Moral of story is to check ALL wheels just before heading off into the wilds! Lesson learned 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover HSE Td6 Zermatt Silver

Lucky escape!

My weekend didn't go as planned either, brakes will have to wait until another day.
Picked up 20inch alloys for my car, mine came with 22 inch wheels, and they have not grown on me, so are coming off. Also means I can fit AT tyres instead of the road tyres that are fitted at present. Had to buy new wheels nuts though, £55!! Big Cry

More than likely - probably 4x4 with terrain response!

Yes, it's electric (rear drive only) and should run for 4 hours off a leisure battery, 7 if I go the twin motor and battery route.
Top speed 4mph like a small mobility scooter.

We will be limiting driving time so he doesn't forget what his legs are for though...
But they say you need to be 2.5 or 3 years to drive it properly, so I've got just over a year to finish it. Thumbs Up
