Or cut the huge cast alloy ends off and replace them with tidy stainless tips that point downwards

You should get an alignment done also unless you want them going the same way as the Pirellis Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I'd would have stuck with Pirellis TBH we have no end of issues with Hancooks at work admittedly in a 17" size but each to their own

As you say there, the 305 section does well and truly fill the guards out. How do they go for clearance on full lock? No rubbing I take it. Are the OF wheel normal offset and width?

@crispy2 - They are Hankook Ventus ST RH06 305/40R22 114V XL. I can't help you with the offset on the OF wheels I'm afraid but they are genuine 22" Tigers so the info may be out there.
