OK can't resist an offer to share some Classic RR love - this was Big Cry mine

Wish I still had her but at the time business was not so good and I needed the cash. More crying Big Cry

There is no geting away from the fact they look good.

Just seen this thread. Some lovely motors on display.

I loved having a RRC with the fantastic 3.5 V8 "burble" but I have always had Series LR over the years and the S2A is a keeper.

The thread on dogs reminded me that my late flat-coat retriever was never happier than when in the back of the LR. 1970 S2A 88", http://www.mac4x4.co.uk/2007lro.html

Going back way too far I've had:

'85 RR 3.5 V8 (carb)
'89 RR 3.5 V8 (EFI)
'96 Disco 1 300tdi (5 door)
'96 P38 4.0 V8 (LPG - more trouble than worth!)
2000 Disco TD5 GS
2001 Disco TD5 GS + dealer upgrades
'05 90 Defender TD5 County Hardtop (100% reliable Bow down Bow down Bow down )
'08 110 Defender 2.4tdci DC (from Carlisle LR dealer - will never buy another car from them Big Cry )
'56 Disco TDV6 HSE (impulse buy after the rubbish one above!)
'57 FFRR TDV8 3.6 Vogue

That's on top of at least 20 other cars wifekins and I have had. 90 Defender was by far the most memorable and I would have gone anywhere in it - no matter how far. The FFRR is supreme but almost too good whereby you start to be too critical. Problem is, how can I go back?

To be fair the bonnet wasn't shut properly, and it was possibly a late 3.5 and not a typical of that year 3.9. It looked resprayed from what I could see through the window. Slight orange peel effect under lights....
However in Knightsbridge London, people dial in telephone numbers on their chip pin machines all day. It's a mini hotspot for having what you want at any price. It's the same money as a handbag!

He has shifted a lot of expensive Classics. Appears that Kingsley Cars prepare them.

twentybleepinsixthousand? No. This I have trouble believing.
My 87 RRC is in very good shape. I like where this is going. Maybe I'll get the chance to go back to my long suffering wife (who seems to have given up - she did not even mention the older RRs when we purchased #5 recently LOL) and say "Look honey. I told you they were worth keeping."

Just found this picture of my first Rangie, I bought this back in 1987 when I was 21, it was a great car but fuel costs were too high so I sold it at a profit and bought a diesel Fourtrak (what a pitiful car!)... I wish I still had the gold coupe Rangie...

That's almost my favorite of all, believe it or not. Sorting the electronics first became a major hobby and then started a second career. Laughing
BTW, Gaz, you can sell the Hawkeye now and buy an IIDTool BT. The standard (VIN unlocked) diagnostic functions are more or less equivalent to a Hawkeye outfitted with all licenses and cables. And you can still purchase an additional VIN license and add park heat to a TDV8 for a customer. And in the coming weeks, we will be adding all newer models (L405, 494...). Or just buy the IIDTool Pro that is coming out...
