Got the same idea, coming from a "normal" seat heating. I just think that the electrical seat heaters have a shorter response time. You feel them quicker warming up. But I stand corrected... |

Can only give info from my experience in my p38 which has heater element the heat is there almost immediately but with my FF it can take a good 5 mins for heat to come through - so if I use the heated seat on a short journey the fans run but no real heat hope this helps |

is it not the case that the heating in the climatic seats is warm air and not electric element? cold engine means cold seat?

Its a peltier unit under the seat that gives the temp difference there is a slight delay in the heat getting through maybe 3 minsish |

My car has suffered the same fate for the past 18 months I have replaced the drivers climate control module twice now but with the same issues.
