I need to replace my handbrake cables, but can't for the life of me work out where the steel pin goes in to the equaliser to lock it back - can anyone who has done this give me a clue please? 2006 (56 Reg) 4.4 V8 Vogue In Bonatti Grey (Gorgeous!!)

The pin goes into the base part of the lever, you need to remove as much of the centre console as possible to allow access, a pig of a job and expect cut hands as the metal around there is razor sharp
