Cooling system replacement......need recommendation please

hi....

Just bought my first RR and am loving the new experience...so far. I did manage to pick it up at a knockdown price with a few known issues which im now in a position to resolve.

There is a leak on the radiator and im looking around at which brand to purchase . Would you recommend i replace it with the original Hella Behr brand or is there a much improved after market brand/oem. Dont really want to spend stupid amounts on it so anything around the same price range ish would be appreciated. Whilst im replacing the rad i would also like to replace the thermostat and water pump (for piece of mind).....which reliable brands would you guys recommend? Lastly what anitfreeze/coolant should i use in the new system?

Is there anything else which is associated with the cooling system i should also replace as a preventative measure?

thanks!

Never seen any uprated bits, personally I'd go OEM, ask Dan at Duckworths for a price,

I'm also a big believer in "If it ain't broke don't fix it" if your water pump and stat are OK then why bother, they are not service items and they either work or they don't, you run the risk of snapping off bolts in the alloy block and all sorts of other problems, why bother if it's not needed....

If the coolant isn't very clean I'd run a flushing agent through it and then refill with quality antifreeze.

Save your money and fix whats broken, then save the rest for future repairs, they will be along soon enough.... Pete

Got one in mine, fitted by the last owner, doesn't have a drain cock....

Think I'd stick with OEM, ask Dan at Duckworths, site sponsor, he has OEM parts as well as genuine... Pete
