Would welding rods onto a couple of spare wheel nuts not work just as well? John

you'd have to grind your nuts down so that the wheel hole will fit.. ... - .- -.

Yes, whatever is on the hub side would have to pass back through the hole in the wheel, or you'd never get it off without taking the wheel off again after you've aligned it.

the FF has studs coming out of the hub so no bolt type thingy will work.. ... - .- -.
