Thanks for the assistance guys, I went to my local dealer and they confirmed RRS wheels OK for FFRR. You cannot fir the wrong nuts as supposedly the standard nuts will not fit later wheels so no worries there. Just have to change the tyres to correct size now to sort out rolling circumference.

The old Nuts do fit newer wheels but not the other way round Whistle Please make sure they are correct. Old Nuts i think are 20mm new nuts 22mm ( Cant remember the exact measurements but i work with my eye and my magic finger test!!!!). The dealer may have got it the wrong way around but the newer wheels nut holes are bigger than the old ones and i beieve i am correct and not the dealer but i will stand corrected but please please please be sure. Shocked Shocked

In addition, RRS wheels are also a wider wheel so although you may run the correct 255 50 20 profile tyres for the ffrr they will not provide adequate protection from the kerbs so beware Whistle

I do know a thing or two about the wheels and the consequences when people get it wrong Thumbs Up

Thanks chaps you got me so worried I bought a set of Autobiography wheels off Fleabay. Will sell the RRS wheels as soon as the other ones arrive and then I'll check my nuts...it would be rude not to Embarassed

Ken, can you help me with load rating, was going to buy tyres from blackcircles as they have a fitter nearby but their website only has speed ratings not load ratings although their tyre descriptions do have a number in brackets after the tyre size. Saw they had a good deal on Goodyear Eagles with a 104 in brackets after the tyre size.

Guys just shows you what the LR dealers know. Got my new wheels which are the 7 spoke Autobiographies and measured the diameter of the bolt holes and they are 23 mm. Took the nuts off my SC wheels thinking they would be a straight swap and realised some cheeky Censored had painted the OEM black ones silver. The problem with this is they only have a 20mm shank and therefore should never have been on with those wheels. Lesson learned ...if you want something done right do it yourself and dont ask a dealer for free advice hey are not interested unless you are crossing their palms. Censored

Just as i suspected Whistle

I come across this alot and many people dont realise that their "nuts" are incorrect and how dangerous it is. This also includes many dealers that do wheel upgrades etc - spread the word

I also believe the rolling circumference of the 19" tyres/wheels are the same as the 18" versions but not sure of the difference with the 20" ones.

The outer diameter of the wheels will always be the same. Thats why the profile gets smaller the larger you go. Otherwise, the speedo will be out.

But you knew that already!
