Has someone fiddled in the boot with aftermarket amps or crap? You have a "Diversity" antenna (ie 2) which means if 1 is unplugged everything goes hideously wrong. I'm always surprised how bad reception is in any other car I drive so I don't think this is a general RR prob.

have you got tints?.....i've been told that if you have the incorrect type of tinted window film fitted that your radio/gps reception will suffer. ... - .- -.

Not GPS - at least not in a FFRR anyway. The GPS antenna is under the spoiler at the top of the rear hatch.

Starting in 2005 the Range Rover began to come equipped with a GPS shark fin antenna which worked with the new updated GPS system it was outfitted with. Thumbs Up

Tints should not make any differance, as my rear side windows are completely covered in a solid yellow sign and it does not meess with my radio.

ok, looked into my problem with my tinter man wanting to fit carbon tinted film rather than just normal metal based film. he says my gps radio and ?central locking will be affected ..i have two modules feeding the wire elements in the window marked XUO 000040 and XUO 000051b and according to the interweb these are tv amplifiers which if the non carbon film does reduce the signal ,i'm not worried about because my tv is analogue and analogue is being phased out and i cant justify £300 for a digital unit. so can someone please confirm that the black fin on the roof is for gps AND radio reception... ... - .- -.
