I too have to agree with Martin. These incidents are fortunately rare and most of the time there are minimal injuries, in this case it seems very unlucky, 6" either way and he could have walked away.

lets not forget, that is was raining, and there was tons of spray, and a bunching field of drivers. here's to those guys that were out there that day. rather them than me!
