Tried out the bottle jack (2.5t Mercedes one) as advised on here Thumbs Up , also with the adaptor for the FF jacking point and it all works a treat with the deplorable side steps Very Happy , that's now tucked away in the spare wheel well in case of any more flats, had the 2 new tyres/wheels fitted, went for a drive and filled her up at a cost of £110 will now see what it does on a full tank from fuel light on to fuel light on ( I'm expecting iro 400-440 miles ?)

well not today but yesterday,I'd cut my leg open in work, anyway cleaned the cut up best we could and i went home (I work in Melksham)and live in Cardiff,so off i go to the local A&E but the FFRR would not go under the height barrier for the carpark @1.8 metres high bear in mind its 10pm so i bump it up on the grass and hobble into A&E
7 hours later im cleaned up stiched up bloods taken and checked etc (no ebola)
only to return to the FF to find a PARKING TICKET/and an invoice for £30
not a happy bunny at 5 in the morning i casn tell you so, the moral of this story if you ever need to go to the A&E at the Heath hospital Cardiff dont do it in a FF.there is no where to park it.

The FF took us into Balmain markets, in the heart of Sydney town

had lunch at a nice little place in the main drag $97 bucks for two hamburgers Shocked

filled up with go juice on the way home $140 bucks

at least the cook did't buy anything at the markets, I had forgotten how expensive Sydney is

Still it was a nice run in over ANZAC bridge in the FF

Had a nice drive in the rain to North Ferriby to meet up with Pete (Haylands) to collect my new wheels and tyres. Still waiting for the engine to come off to replace the timing chains.

These things (engines) are incredibly difficult to reach to do any kind of job.
Almost everything is off of the front of the car, and I still can't clearly see each cylinder bank, or turbos, etc.....

Just tubes belts tubes tubes chains pulleys tubes everywhere Mad

Today i did a trip to work and B&Q to get some taps and then over to the folks house to fit them to find their connections were real old school so needed some extra connectors Sad

Then i spent a few minutes with some Fastglass on the windows inside and out and looking over the old girl after a good run and filled her with some juice, checked her tyres were are pressure and then to halfrauds to buy some kurust for the rear arches which i'll be sanding down and prepping as i failed to find Bonnatti Grey in halfrauds i'll get a local paint shop to mix some up for me or just get them to spray the bits when done as i have the mirror covers to do, door trim and those arches of course.

Next was the wipers, gave them a good clean with vinegar and a small improvement but not much so new wipers all round as they are about 18months old Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Purring like a kitten!

She's a little bit noisier than she used to be but I've got to reset the engine management ecu so it relearns the new injectors and pump properly and should help bring economy back up but the power is all good!
