have you tried going straight to Ashcorfts and asking them for prices? |

Yes seen those. At £150 for a TC, i could get my local indie to fit, hence the 5 hr? Q and at £40/hr, it is a cost effective option.

try ringing Dave and asking him as to benefits or if its worth while, i am note sure how much wear your would have and if it would be justified.

I am sure I saw on here somewhere about an uprated torque converter, but I can't seem to find the thread....... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

/\ was it river stock that got an uprated one and the gearbox ecotune ecu for his. I liked the sound of all that but then read one of rrphil's posts about poss causing issues with the tc locking up to soon.

There’re only a couple of ‘standard’ faults with the 5HP24 in the L322. One is the torque converter lock-up clutch (which you’re seeking to address) and the other is the axial bearing failure between the B-clutch hub & the C-clutch drum. Because the likelihood of failure of the latter will depend on how much time your vehicle has spent in 1st, 2nd & 3rd gears, and at what speed & load, it’s very difficult to predict a mileage at which this might occur (if, indeed, ever). If the vehicle has spent much of its life in hilly areas towing trailers then clearly it’s going to happen sooner than if the majority of its duty cycle consists of travelling up and down the motorway.

For what it's worth, I sent mine to JPat. They collected it on a Friday and I had it back the following Tuesday.
