Stan, you'll get a letter renewal for your license 1 month before it expires.

Go to a participating Post Office and they do it all for you in less than 5 minutes. 4 days later you get your new license.

Just done mine.

just been on the dvla site Si and it seems you can do it online and they take the pic from your passport...saw the bit re the reminding letter.. Thumbs Up ... - .- -.
