Any one with any experience of coolant loss? Not overheating just loss of coolant and the telltale smell... |

One of our TDV8s did this - usually when going uphill out of the village from cold. All it needed was the expansion tank cap replacing.

Hi, I get coolant loss on myRR TDV8. Not consistent. Sometimes can do 3,000 with no loss and then lose 1 pint in 1,000 miles. I have done 90,000 miles and this is a fairly recent phenomonen. I just keep topping up the coolant. Not been able to find any of the recommended antifreeze though (Texaco/Havoline XLC) |

The problem turned out to be the smaller secondary coolant radiator located right down behind the valance on the offside.
