ipod/iphone in a MY12 - whats needed?

Hi all,
After several searches and a good bit of googling I cannot find a definitive answer.. or I don't understand what I am reading! Smile
Got a 12 MY Range Rover with connectivity in the centre cubby box but no cables at all.
I use an iphone 5 and I have a classic ipod
What cable/s do I need to get full functionality from both should I choose?

Many Thanks
Nick

You can get a little 16 pin to lightening adapter.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Black-Lighte...27eb0a0f3d

I use my phone for phone and have a 60gb iPod Classic permanently connected for music. Less pressure on your iphone battery, all your choons in one place. Now sold - MY2010 Range Rover Vogue SE - Santorini Black & Ivory Leather

Instead of the lightning adapter get one of these

I've just bought one and it is excellent. You can leave your phone in your pocket and still control it from the touch screen. Your phone can still connect to the hands free at the same time.

bingo!! sounds like the perfect solution! thank you!
Is sound quality good? I had a Bluetooth music connection a year or so ago and it was quite poor low volume quality.

Cheers

Sound quality does dip a bit because of the compression used, but still more than adequate unless you're a complete audiophile. Plenty of volume available so no problem there. It really is a seamless integration. Should've been old enough to know better...doh!

Another option is to search for "Range Rover iPod" on Amazon and it gives a couple of cables. I just ordered the Mofun one at just shy of 23 quid, it looks promising so will report back. For me the iphone in the pocket means it isn't charging whilst on a long drive and that is important to me as I often need the phone to be fully charged when I get to my destination. I'm sure I can connect a charging cable but then it's not in my pocket........ Geoff

I just bought this one off ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221528078842?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT
Luckily the seller put the postage down incorrectly at £12 and i questioned it (before bidding) and he reduced it to £2 Thumbs Up But due to his excessive postage costs no one else bid Whistle Happy days Thumbs Up

I should spend more time looking for bargains, rather than just buying stuff - at least that's what SWMBO says Rolling with laughter Geoff

Hi all does anyone know where you can still buy the 30pin Apple adapter needed to take the 12v to 5v ? The last one I got was 2020, and I can’t seem to find them now?
