Sorry for not getting back, but to add to the woe my mother in law was rushed to hospital on Friday so everything halted.

If it happens again try force starting her on LPG and see if it rules out the petrol side.

Sounds like an issue I had on one of my P38's - would start lovely most of the time, but occasionally wouldn't want to start at all - no error codes either - it was the Crankshaft position sensor - took all of 3 minutes to fit a new one... |

Replacement engine, £2,500. Goes great now though.... Owning a Range Rover is the land based version of a boat...a hole in the road in which to throw regular bundles of money! |

hmmm, i asked because mine wont start...i had a decision, either a crank sensor or either one of the cam sensors. -symptoms, -engine spinning, but no spark. i oredered the crrank sensor, fitted, still the same (£40) i then ordered a pair of cam sensors, somehow, only £13 each on ebay. (new) will get them tomorrow i hope.
