2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

WD - I am not usually ham fisted but I have been getting giddy and thinking of a number of subtle changes to the car without spending a load of cash...I put it down to excitement - that's cost me £17 at the LR dealer Sad Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Off and primed...due to my skillset I'll be going down the "one colour" route. Fancied silver but saw a Kahn Shocked so have always like the look of colour coding it and am thinking stornoway....unless anyone has any ideas. A contrast colour may look good, like a matt/satin grey ?

Prob going stornoway...silver badges maybe Whistle Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Clearly not just a case of roughing the surface with a bit of wet/dry before repainting. Can some one break down the procedure for repainting plastic parts like this or the grill/ bonnet vent ?

Googsy...I am indeed...they're in the garage drying as we speak..24 hrs to go then I'll give then a light rub down with some 2000 wet n dry and a few coats of clear lacquer....they should then stick straight on to the moulded fins with some 3M padded tape. GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

DaveK....most of the parts just need a good rub down, starting with a low grade sand paper to get the thick of the surface paint off, then smoothing with a finer grade(s)

once you've got it ready, give it a good clean wipe down with white spirit..let it dry then set your parts up in a clean dust free area and apply the primer ( colour specific is better eg grey for silver paint and either plastic or metal primer depending on base material you rubbed down)... Apply a few light coats with 20 drying time in between followed by a few light coats of colour with 20 mins drying in between

24 hrs after, gently rub down of the painted finish with W&D and then clean off the surface with a tack cloth...

Then apply several coats of clear lacquer and bobs your dads brother Thumbs Up

....or if the parts availble from powerful uk...just buy it Laughing GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus
