Just checking oil etc and noticed the small rad/cooler by the fuel filter I presume fuel cooler. Bits of hay, birds feather and all sorts sticking out of the side, so undid it and wow there's all sorts of stuff in there. Gave it a good clean and blow out put back together. Then I tackled the bonnet release catch as it seemed a little stiff, on the drivers side under the bonnet there's a join in the cable prise apart and you can put some oil or lubricant in their put back together and the jobs a goodun. Just thought I'd share it as I haven't seen them covered before.

Both jobs well mentioned on the forum and should be included as part of the annual service

While you are at it you might like to look at the bonnet catches themselves on the underside of the slam panel.
They corrode. Clean them up and cover in grease for protection.

best to do these little jobs whilst its still comfortably warm, you dont want to do these in the winter..... ... - .- -.

The little rad/cooler is the gearbox oil cooler, I believe. It always gets filled with leaves, etc., I regularly clean mine out. It's a bit faffly getting the duct away from the cooler, but well worth cleaning out to help prevent the gearbox oil from overheating!
