New Zealand 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Yes it is! At least I know that both my nav units are working, although I must admit I'm starting to wish I hadn't started this!

So, I cleaned out the satnav blue connector, hooked it all back up again and I'm back to the blank screen.

Does this mean I've got a dodgy connector, or has the tv unit died?

Any idea how to check whats going on?

Or a dodgy connection between the TV and nav ?

Though not remembering the loom exactly, is that possible ?

That said, the nav would still display wouldn't it ?

I know the units daisy chain....... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

You've probably got a dodgy connection in the blue plug, possibly due to past water "issues".
I found the only way to clean each of plug sleeved connectors was to use a thick needle with the end broken off.
I held it in a pair of pliers and used it as a scraper, sliding it backwards and forwards in each of the connectors.
Must have worked, never had any trouble since.

Thanks for the tips guys, I think its most likely the connector on the satnav, as it was fine up until the point it was disconnected. Would be a massive coincidence if the tv failed at the same time..

I'll give the needle technique a go and report back on how I get on.

Thought I would finish this up in case anyone else is having the same issue.

For me it turned out to be the TV module. Couldn't see it when it was still in place but one of the pins in the bule connector was missing. I guess messing around in the back when I was pulling the nav unit out might have been just enough to disturb it.

Anyway, found a second hand BMW analogue unit on ebay for £34, fitted it, and all is good once more. Now looking for an aftermarket freeview/reverse camera upgrade to go with it.
