Help needed on lockingwheelnuts

Could anyone of you wise men help me out please.
My 07 FFRR has 3 wheels with locking nuts, one wheel without.
Last week I found out there is no tool to unlock these nuts.
So I can't get the wheels of.
The previous owner does not have it and his dealer told him that there is a letter engraved in one of the locking nuts with which they can provide me with a new tool.
But guess what...the 3 lockingwheel nuts don't have a letter on them so that must be on the missing one.
How do I find out which tool I need?
Thanks in advance

The dealers should have a full set of the tools, take it there and get them to check them.... Pete

There is no easy solution Robert... BUT PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING!!! DO NOT let anyone try chiselling them off! They are a two piece unit and the outer is made to brake if anyone tries stealing them and is made of some kind of super hard grade of steel that can only be drilled using special drill bits etc etc...

Sorry for the news but forewarned is better Thumbs Up

Try speaking to Land Rover assist in the UK?

I did wonder if they'd work, had the earlier ones on mine and they would work for them but now I've got the later wheels I didn't bother with locking ones, they get full of mud and don't work that well on an offroader....

I take it it's a drill out job then??

Saw somewhere a tool to line the drill up so you drill dead center and don't wreck the wheel... maybe worth a google... Pete

Craig, how many different ones are there? I took mine off and chucked them, after all it's difficult enough getting the wheels off a Range Rover Embarassed Will a detailed photo from Robert help, then someone can lend him a key or if they've done what I've done just send him the old key. Geoff

Not sure Geoff, we have 8 or so of them here but I just don't know just how many different types there are? They are lettered A, B, C etc but I'm unsure if its every letter is used or not? Neutral

I believe they have to be drilled using a really really expensive super hard drill bit Sad So, best left to the professionals IMHO Whistle

Well you all made me very happy and positive Sad
I have heard they were marked from A to K so the only solution will be to buy all of them and then resell those I do not need to you lot Mr. Green
Or use them and build a nice collection of wheels Twisted Evil

Oh yes Geoff, good idea but Looking at these nuts I don't see anything to distinguish them from other nuts

think the problem with the code on the nuts is that its stamped on the side from memory so near enough impossible to see with the nut in place You can paypal direct using - www.paypal.me/duckworthparts
