the bottom panels just behind the front arch has to come off to fit a metal plate which the flap bolts onto.you have to drill two hole into this panel as well.. ... - .- -.

Did you buy aftermarket versions if so they tend to send out without plates. Originally I bought these and they came without plates after contacting supplier they sent me out missing brackets. I now have original oem flaps. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

If the side panels have never been removed, it'll take a fair amount of effort to get them off, so you need to be a lot braver than you think! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
